In other news, Dad and I are on a car-shopping mission today. Test-drove the Saturn Ion, and I really liked it. We're going to do Honda Civic, Honda Fit, Toyota Yaris, Toyota Carolla/Camry, and Mazda 3. Excited!

ALSO: Not going as Ginny, after all. KK and I went to a thrift store and I'm going to be all decked out as Sybill Trelawney. YES. I have about 4 shawls, a poncho, and even a teacup, complete with The Grim. OH, YES. ( pictures of said teacup )

- I have "Walkin' in a Winter Wonderland" stuck in my head randomly, and I cannot get it out.
- I can't wait for License to Wed.
- And HP! (KK and I have decided to go to the OotP premiere as Luna and Ginny, respectfully. She's going to bleach her hair, and I'm going to carry around a knitted pygmy puff.)
- I'm contemplating hair dye.
- And I am taking suggestions.

FRIDAY:
Leave New Orleans: 4.30pm
Arrive in Sugar Land: 1.15am
It was a long, fun road trip. I made a Rodeo Mix, and we listened to Dane Cook, and it was very enjoyable overall. Was very tired when we got to my house, but we stayed up playing on the inversion table anyway.

SATURDAY:
RODEO!!! Noon - 7pm. We went to the horse show, which I'd never been to. We saw a mule jumping contest, and a mule pull! 'Twas exciting! Then we went to the main rodeo, calf roping, and bareback riding and such. Bethany and I got matching $10 Rodeo tshirts. Twins!

SUNDAY:
Forever XXI. I set a time limit, because we had to be back at my house for steak around 2. It was 45 minutes of speedshopping. Bethany was upset with me for limiting her to such a short amount of time. Everyone loved Dad's steak, which was expected, because he makes fantastic steak. I'm still full. I have so much food now, and I brought back so many Girl Scout cookies. We got back around 10pm, so I missed Grey's Anatomy. Anyone know where I can download it?

Jessica and I are going to watch Elizabethtown right now (hooray for the Loyola Movie Channel!) and I am going to get started on my clarinet notespeller, which is due on Wednesday, but it's about 40 billion pages long.

I swear on everything that is good in this world, if the guy next door to me has sex one more time, and I have to hear his bed banging against the wall at regular intervals, I am going to go over there and throw the biggest shitfit of all time. Disgusting.

We were sitting down today, waiting for Rex to roll. There was the most adorable little baby boy in front of us, with his family. He's just wandering around, being cute. He goes into their cooler, and gets a Capri Sun out for him.

He hands me a Coors Light.

Christmas is in 4 days and KK and I are working on the best present ever for my dad. I'll post the pictures when we're finished.

Half of KK's present is bought, Rachel is done, mom's done, dad's done. No idea what to get Dominique, and I've got a small lame something for Kelly.

Oh, Christmas.

My family has this tradition where we make our Christmast lists before today, December 6th, and then the night of the 6th, we put the list in our stocking, and then Santa's Elves come and take it for Santa, and leave us a little present.

I'm 20 years old and I still think it's cute.

Today was the last Wednesday of class. NO MORE LESSONS AFTER TOMORROW!! My jury is Friday at 3.15pm. Not looking forward to it, but whatever. And if that man gets on my case about memorizing one more time, I swear by my pretty floral bonnet I will throw a huge fit.

Helping KK with homework is fun. Especially when she comes in and sees me on LJ instead of doing her work for her. She gets all huffy. It's great.

[edit] I just posted my first discussion on readthebook. !!!!! Was a lot more fun than I'm sure my philosophy discussion boards are going to be.

Austin was great, except that we were actually in Marble Falls, at least an hour oustide Austin. zeez, I debated calling you, when we were discussing driving into Austin before we knew how out of the way it was, and seeing if you wanted to meet up or something. But then it was like HECK NO, TECHNO because it was far.

Half Price Books run! EXCITATION. We went to Sam's today for lunchmeat and the like for the coming week, and we stopped by the entertainment area, just to look. On some sort of sound system display (Bose or something) they were playing the clip from FOTR of Bilbo's birthday party. I had a hobbit!squee with my mom.

There will be more posts today, because I love to procrastinate that physics homework looming over my head!

Is it bad that I'm completely and totally fangirling readthebook?

Thanksgiving was Oh So Successful this year. I think it was especially fun this year because we all helped with the cooking. Rachel made the dinner rolls, KK and I did the crescent rolls (yes, we had two kinds of rolls), KK made the mashed potatoes, I made the peas & pearl onions for my dad. Everyone was in the kitchen all day long and it was insane at times, but isn't that what Thanksgiving is all about?

I love Elizabeth so much, I've known her since at least 3rd grade. It's only appropriate that her and her family always join us for Thanksgiving Dessert. They are family.

Now, I must go recharge these camera batteries and pack for Austin. We may or may not be waking up at the asscrack of dawn to do the sale at Kohl's. Lord.

I'm totally pimping this. Have I mentioned how excited I am that readthebook is back? Because I totally am. I've got my materials all ready: My set of LOTR, The Hobbit, The Silmarillion, and A Guide To Middle Earth. I've also got a copy of Finding God In The Lord Of The Rings, and Walking With Frodo. And, of course, my LOTR and Philosophy book.

I definitely climbed onto and laid upon my dining room table today. It's only clean once a year (for Thanksgiving dinner), so I had to take advantage of it.

Mom's home, and we may or may not be going to go get ice cream very soon. HOORAY! Also, my mother is completely in love with the shirts on Threadless. Seriously, I smell some Christmas Present ideas.

So, I don't really have much to say.

Saw gof with the sisters this morning. KK fell in love with Ernie McMillan, even though he was only onscreen for about a second. (In the beginning, when the Beaubatons carriage arrives, and he's like, in the window looking out. She grabbed my arm and said, "THAT BOY'S CUTE!!")

I love Ron/Hermione. THE YULE BRAWL. It was better the second time. :]

Friday morning, we're heading to Austin! We're going to my mom's boss's lakehouse that we didn't make it to during Rita. We may or may not get up to be at Kohl's at 5am for their sale. !!

I expect I'll be on before we go, but if not, Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!!

I went back on LORA about a half hour ago, and saw that the Chemistry class I was registered for was Tuesday 6.20-9pm. YEAH RIGHT. Changed that right quick. Now it's MWF 2.30-3.30. MUUUUCH better.

KK and I (and possibly Rachel) are going to go see GOF at 10am tomorrow. That should work out, time-wise, for me to leave around 1 for Orchestra. The only class I have tomorrow. :]

KK is making hot chocolate and we're going to play Light Sabers. Which reminds me of a wonderful quote from my mother: Do no lightsaber your sister!

It's wierd having the My LJ tab first at the top of the screen. I can't just hover over the first one and hit "Update." It's throwing me off.

I found a pair of Feds (Fake Keds) for $2.48. I'm going to go tomorrow and see how much it'll cost to get them dyed. I hopehopehope it's not too much. But still, for $2.48, I'll freakin' paint 'em.

KK wants me to write about her purple lightsaber and how fantastic she is. Pfft.

Broccoli Cheese soup + bread for dinner. YUM.

I just asked my dad if he was excited about his birthday tomorrow.
